Labels are tiny yet must carry brand, specs, compliance marks, and machine-readable codes. Split the layout into a human zone and a scan zone: keep quiet zones around barcodes and QR codes so borders or artwork do not clip modules.

Contrast and type

Dark codes on light stock are safest; reversed (white on color) needs extra proofing on matte or textured materials. Regulatory copy must stay legible—tiny disclaimers can fail audits.
